OOAK Needle felted Hedgehog

This cute little guy is a one of a kind needle felted miniature hedgehog, created by me! He(or she) is perfect for any hedgehog lover/collector! He is about 1 1/2" (1.5") tall and about 2 3/4" (2.75") wide (bum to nose, he'll rest cozy in your palm!). He was crafted with wool, with glass black beads for eyes, hand sculpted clay nose, wool sculpted ears and gently painted toes and mouth. He is built on a small wire armature, so he is gently poseable. He can curl up a bit! Pictures don't do him justice, he is even cuter in person.

It took hours of needle-felting, detailing and love to create this adorable fuzzy. Many hours were involved! Needle felting is a long process where the artist(me!) takes pieces of wool and shapes them by poking them with a barbed needle, over and over again until the wool becomes firm. Details are added in the same way, with the addition of some gentle painting and hand sculpted clay nose.
